The aorta, its function is to carry blood. Nutrients diffuse and are actively transported across the small intestine, the nephron tubule uses both processes to secrete and reabsorb various ions and water, diffusion occurs across capillary wall for gas and nutrient exchange, and gas exchange occurs across the alveolar walls to exchange carbon dioxide and oxygen.
