Explain why traits that are controlled by genes on the same chromosome do not always appear in the expected ratio in offspring.

Please help me on this biology question. Thank you very much!

Please briefly explain the answer in a 10th grader's point of view. Don't make it sound like a college student.

scientific evidence says that we came from one type of primate I think they call our monkey mother Maria or lousy, and biblically speaking we came from the same set of ribs ( I imagine its the same color people) then why are we all different colors? if it was because of evolution then it would be convenient for blacks to come from the hot African sun, and white people to come from the north where a darker pigment would be a convenience. does any body have any ideas

Why is the idea of God so unrealistic to you? I mean, wont we all evolve into Gods someday anyhow? And dont give me a BS answer saying that you believe in evolution and God.

I've never bothered to learn my blood type, but just recently I stumbled upon brother's military ID. On it it says that He is type O positive. Does that mean that I'm O positive as well? And if I am, who can I donate to, and whose blood type can I receive?

A group of seeds were blown onto an island with an environment that was much hotter that the one the seed came from. In this environment, plants that have thick leaves have a hard time surviving because their leaves hold too much heat. Plants with thin leaves survive more easily because their leaves hold less heat. Describe a scenario in which this intitial population of plants eventually evolves into a new species of plant that has a different type of leaf from the original plant.

The fish in a population of parrot fish may have scales of one or two colors. Some fish have blue scales and some have green. Twenty-five percent of the population is homozygous recessive (bb) for green scales. The remaining 75 percent of the population have blue scales, but you don't know if they are heterozygous (Bb) or homozygous dominant (BB). Assuming the population is in Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium, use p+q=1 and the Hardy-Weinberg equation (p2+ 2pq+q2=1) to figure out the genotypic frequencies for BB and Bb. Show your steps throughout.

the p2 and q2 is squared*

I need to do a debate for school and I am on the side that says that humans and monkeys did not come from a common ancestor. Does anyone have any information or websites to back this up.
P.S. It does not necessarily have to be creationist stuff, just to prove that false.

what is the cell membranes function? i know that it protects the cell and gives it structure and that it also allows transportation into and out of the cell. Is there anything that I am missing? Also, what are the components of the cell membrane? Thanks!

We adapted and changed due to the sole reason of survival. Why then do we have a conscious and have moral judgments? Techically we did not require these things to survive. We may have even done better in survival if we didn't have morals "nice guys finish last" in the wild in a dog eat dog world you'd imagine the most brutal, the most violent and the most powerful would defeat the nicest. Hence kindness and niceness should have been elimated from the genetic gene pool. Such as people who favored night time and heights have all died out due to dangers of the night and height. A man who lacks moral conscious would obvisiously benefit from survival more than a person who is nice and giving. Why have we evolved all other aspects for survival and yet evolve a trait that would harm us in survival? Dunno this doesn't seem to make sense
