3.) Which term, HAPLOID or DIPLOID would correctly describe the following cells?

Five differences: Mitosis produces 2 cells, Meiosis 4 cells....Mitosis, cells are identical, Meiosis cells are not identical....Mitosis cells are diploid, Meiosis cells are haploid....Mitosis cells are body cells, Meiosis cells are sex cells ...Mitosis occurs in one stage, Meiosis occurs in two stages.

Asexual reproduction is producing offspring with only one parent. Examples include "budding" or in a plant, taking a cutting and replanting. Sexual reproduction involves the union of sperm and egg, thus requiring two parents.

You already have number 3 answered.

1)-by mitosis, each daughter cell retains a full
set of chromosomes.By meiosis, halves the
chromosomes and produces sperm and
eggs.
-mitosis produces somatic cells whereas
meiosis produces gametes

2)-Asexual reproduction involves 1 parent only
-Sexual reproduction involves 2 parents
-Asexual reproduction's offspring is genetically
identical to the parent
-Sexual reproduction's offspring will have 1/2
of genes from the parents respectively.

3)-diploid
-haploid
-diploid
-haploid

I will answer number three, as you should do some of your HW.

White blood cell. Diploid, of course, as it is a somatic cell.

An ovum. This is the term for an egg; so it has a half count of genetic material. haploid.

A zygote. This means the union of sperm and egg. So, diploid.

A gamete. This just means " sex cell ", so it is halved. haploid.
