Are you ready for destruction? The magnetic poles on both the south and north pole are going to the point where they will shift large: This is going to cause hurricanes, tornados, volcanic erruptions, blizzards and a lot more at epic perportions. I live in the Toronto area so we will probably get hit with a major blizzard. The Mayan's have been right with every astrological event and this one they have marked as Dec 21, 2012.

I know quite a bit about space and light, however there is one thing that I have trouble with: How do we know if anything exists if it is so far away? Are we assuming things several million lightyears away still exist? (sorry if this sounds like an ignorant question to some people)

Would the interaction happen like War of the Worlds (destructive) or K-pax (pieceful).

I had this debate with my old roommate. We were watching a show where Hawkings said, "If aliens reached our planet, there will be dire cosequences for man kind." We debated. She believed that it would. Assuming evolution does happen not only on earth, the species that are so developed that they can travel through space must be the alpha species. Given evolutionary principles, the alpha species are known to be the most aggressive, dominate, and consumes excessive amounts of resource. (Her reasoning is that they wouldn't be alpha species if they didn't hold these characteristics.)

I had to admit, her theory was quite interesting. I'm kind of interested in hearing your ideas too!

Humans love having knowledge of everything; wouldn't they have wanted to send people all over the moon to perhaps draw maps or find out as much as they can about it? Why have they not had any people walk on the moon since 1972?
