Unfortunately, you and many others were born without the gene for detecting BS. You believe anything, as long as it is highly unlikely. You believe things because you think they're "cool" or "awesome" or they give you some kind of rush, like YOU have the privileged information.
This is a science forum. Surely you didn't expect that stuff to fly, here.
Now, I will add another perspective. You, and the others who spread this nonsense are bullies. You scare the crap out of little kids. I was a teacher for 27 years and I saw it first hand on each of the last three Apocalypses. So think about that.

yes were all aware, its a nice little story, too bad its not going o happen...
the poles will not flip. it is true that the poles are starting to flip and have been doing so for centuries but a pole flip takes thousands of years to happen. if the poles did flip it would not cause these things you talk about. the only thing it would effect is compasses, it wouldnt cause any weather change whatsoever.
the mayans have not predicted every astrological event, they barely predicted any. they didnt know most of the objects in the universe existed. the only things they predicted were solstices, notice December 21 is the winter solstice.
THE MAYAN CALENDAR DOES NOT END! stop being drawn in to easily by fake scientific filth and do some research. the mayan calendar does not end. it starts a new count, which means absolutely nothing. its like going feom the year 2007 to 2008 in our calendar. just because a number changes doesnt mean its the end of the world. its just another system used to keep the date that idiots arent familiar with.

No. Lies, self deception and fraud. There is not one prophecy, ancient or modern of world wide disaster or even local disaster in a certain year or date that has ever come true. Never, not one. There have been hundreds of such prophecies coming from fools and lunatics - the year 1000, the year 1666 and dozens of other years since. The Jehovah's Witnesses have been predicting the end of the world based on their special reading of the Bible since the mid 19th century and none of their prophecies have ever come true either.
The only one of Nostradamus prophecies that seems to have come true was that of the death of a King of France in an accident and that happened during Nostradamus' lifetime so we cannot be sure he did not edit his earlier efforts.
There is no indication of a change of poles, no sign of another large body on a collision course, no sign even of the magnetic poles flipping. Just nothing. These people are frauds and fools.
The original nonsense was based on the Mayan calendar which comes to an end in 2012. This has more to do with their counting system than anything else. Then a bunch of fools grouped around a woman called Nancy Lieder had predicted the end of the world in 2003. Ms. Lieder claimed to be in ESP contact with aliens called Zetans. When this 2003 prophecy did not come true they attached their nonsense to the Mayan calendar. In the meantime some of her group have decided that she was full of it and abandoned her and her nonsense.
Some other groups of idiots have jumped on the same bandwagon. All of it is drivel.

Just like your claming will happen on 12/12/2012 . It didn't happen then! It WILL NOT happen in 2012! Let it go already.

It is worth the inquiry; just on television tonight I saw something that says there is a Bibical code that also says that the world will end in 2012, also another way to look at it is that the Earth must "replenish" herself of all the damage humans have done to go into a new "state". Since humans are causing the earth the most damage we must be eliminated
