In my school, we are researching outer space && are supposed to come up with a question, to find online and research. I would like some nice detail for this question, to take notes on, and maybe put most of it in my own words for my project! Please give atleast two sentences. Thanks!

My point is that. When I define something as green how do I know that green is green for the others and not red. God I am so desperate I cannot explain it exactly.

There is this saying, it's something like "Lack of evidence, is not evidence of nothing there." Something in the same genre. It's not those exact words, but its what it means.. WHAT IS THAT SAYING???? Easy 10 point.. hey?

While the Sun undoubtedly impacts us every second (in ways both seen a positive and negative), what effect is imposed on us by the energy of those other stars light-years away?

While it does take longer for their energy to reach us, it is undoubtedly arriving here (no matter how delayed); as such does the heat, light, magnetic waves, radio waves, ect, have any notable impact on us whatsoever? What about their gravitational pulls, no matter how far away?

Thank you in advance for your answers, I have been able to find little online about this (though I may be asking Google the wrong question).

there would be a comet striking the earth that was big enough to destroy all life on the planet in the next 12 hours. it is big enough to knock earth completely off of its orbit, causing it to fall into the sun within a week after impact.

how would you react to hearing this?

OK, this is the theory as I understand it. The big bang was not the first or last one to happen. All the matter of the universe was slowly sucked in, it came into a big ball and exploded and out came planets and atoms with circling electrons, and stars, and everything randomly happened. And the universe is still expanding. This seems silly to me.

I apologize for not following the community standards here, but there is a question that disturbs me. So far, I see that I am the only one who has answered it and I'd appreciate if some of our more knowledgeable people answer it. It's only a few items down from this one. It's:
"Are the Van Allen belts dangerous?"
This is a student who has been told by his teacher to prove the moon landings were hoaxed.

This has me hopping mad. Tell me if you agree with my sentiment or if I just need to chill out.

Scientists, mainly cosmoligists, say that matter cannot travel at a speed faster than that of light. why does light travel at the EXACT speed that matter can travel as fast as? Also, what i think, is that since time slows down the faster than you go, in other wordsa the speed of light, that light experiences no time, so if you did go that fast, you wouldnt age. another thing is could it be that light tries to travel faster, at infinite KPH, but it can't because of the speed it has reached. can someone pleasen explain this to me?
