some conflicting notes:

>Apollo 14 astronaut Allen Shepard played golf on the Moon. In front of a worldwide TV audience, Mission Control teased him about slicing the ball to the right. Yet a slice is caused by uneven air flow over the ball. The Moon has no atmosphere and no air.
>A camera panned upwards to catch Apollo 16's Lunar Lander lifting off the Moon. Who did the filming?
>The pressure inside a space suit was greater than inside a football. The astronauts should have been puffed out like the Michelin Man, but were seen freely bending their joints.
>The flags shadow goes behind the rock so doesn't match the dark line in the foreground, which looks like a line cord. So the shadow to the lower right of the spaceman must be the flag. Where is his shadow?
>Why is the flag fluttering when moon has no air?
>The Lander weighed 17 tons yet the astronauts feet seem to have made a bigger dent in the dust.

I used to think the "Milky Way" refers to the galaxy which our solar system is in.

What has it got to do with Greek mythology?

In fact, isn't it more of a subject on Science than mythology?

Did you think that ship looked correct for that era, or more like a Next Gen era ship? Did it look too much like Akira class, or differnt enough to be it's own ship?

I've always wondered that, red is at the end of the visible light spectrum, but blue is just kind of a random place. Violet makes sense, because that's also the end, I guess. Any great reasons why? And how do you know this information?

i know that since theres no oxygen in space, you cant have a fire, but just follow along. You know how here on earth fire always goes upwards? Say you lit something on fire in such deep space that there's NO gravity. Which way would the fire go? could you turn the burning object upside down and have the fire follow it?

Watching the sky with my mom tonight, she asked me what the bright star next to Mars was. I said there were no other planets in the sky (live in the southeastern US), and as we were looking at it, the "star" just faded out. The sky was completely clear of clouds. It was about 6:40 pm when the sky had gotten pretty much completely dark. Mars was about 10 degrees above the eastern horizon, and this star was about the same distance above the horizon, slightly brighter, and 10-20 degrees to the right of Mars. The object was there for at least 20 seconds or so and stationary.

Afterwards, my mom said she's seen this thing for years in the same spot in the sky from time to time, and it bothers her that she can't explain it. Is this some sort of astronomical phenomenon?

How long can a cloud of dust last on the moon? Let's say you're on the moon and you find a soft patch of dust so you kick it up a few times with your foot (in a spacesuit, duh). Since there's no air to hold the dust up, the dust would just fall back down almost immediately, wouldn't it?
