where the Mothman sightings began being reported between 1966 thru december 1967. Coincidence or could it be related? a creature unlike anything ever seen being reported just 218 miles southwest of where an object unlike anything ever seen crashed just a few months earlier.

Travelling in a vehicle at 120km a fly is hovering in the middle of the vehicle totally oblivious to the movement (sure there is no wind resistance etc). At 140km the fly is still not plastered to the back window, how fast do you think you can go before the fly can feel it?

This is strictly a scientific question, not religious. The Mayan calender, which has been perfectly precise for 500,000 years has ended in 2012. Now in 2012 we see a major scientific marvel. Once every 26,000 years the sun alligns with the milkyway. That will be December 21st, 2012. Now the sun alligning with milkyway is the event that the Mayans predicted to bring the end of the earth. Now the question, do you believe that if an ancient historical tribe can precisely measure 500,000 years of dates, that they may be right about the 2012 celestial event destroying the earth.

Please i am looking for productive opinions not some "blah its bull" answer, thanks.

Also the celestial event that occurs every 26,000 years where the sun and milkyway allign is true and has been used as a theory to why mars is uninhabitable but contains water (because this celestial event destroyed it).

I was reading this news story at Yahoo.com:

http://news.yahoo.com/s/space/20070912/sc_space/bizarreparasiticstarfound

And I was wondering if scientists have found a way to detect things that are happening now (or fairly recently) in space. Isn't everything we observe in space millions of years old (like an old movie)? How do we really know what's happening now?

If an alien civilization out there somewhere looked at us, wouldn't they see the Earth (if they could see it) as it was millions of years ago?

Look at these pictures;

What are these two things?

1. On the upper right of the ascent stage aft panel, inboard of the RCS thrusters, the helical, cone-shaped thing, like a little Christmas tree.

2. Same thing as #1, but on the front panel, inboard of the upper corner of the commander's window. In the third picture, it's casting a clear shadow onto the front panel.

3. On the lower left of the ascent stage aft panel, it looks like a hot dog bun stuck to the skin. I thought it might be a patch, but they all have it.

I heard Jaysen Q Rand on the radio last night on coast to coast with George Noory. He predicts a planet X (a brown dwarf star the size of Saturn) will enter our solar system and cause a polar shift in 2012. What would be the ramifications of a polar shift no matter what the cause. Please only people with extensive knowledge of the matter respond. Thanks
