This should be under Biology. Anyways, the reason is that the breathing of Oxygen by animals and Carbon Dioxide as plants, produce H2O as a waste product. Also, water acts as the transporting mechanism for minerals and other things.

Think about your question, how can anything exist without water!!! Anything would be completely DRY/dehydrated, water is the FIRST thing any probe looks for on distant planets, water is the one thing no living organism can live without.

Water is everywhere in our body. We humans are about half water. Even our bones contain water. It's in the cells, pretty much most of blood is water, plasma, muscle cells, in chemical bonds with other molecules, you name it.
