Does anybody know which institutions have programs to do microgravity research, concerning the effects of microgravity in living organisms (plants and microbes)? I'm interested in doing a PhD.

I heard that Bush has already put plans forth with NASA to put a station on the moon. Is this something we should worry about?

I recently learned that in the early 90's there was a ufo crash on Long Island, not too far from where I live. Is there any proof (hard evidence), or footage out there that anyone has found on this? I've seen most of the TEXT websites that offer no pictures or video. So please don't refer me to them.

I hear that if you can keep your reflection from blocking you from entering the other realm, you are in for a treat.

Wow, has anyone ever been there? I spend hours infron of my mirror, but everywhere i put my hand, my reflection puts her hand. Frustrating but I think I am getting closer.

I'm trying to study Astronomy on my own time here on the internet.
On this Astronomy web page, they said that 'this galaxy' was some 17 Light Years away from our Earth.

But can someone who studies Astronomy please tell me how many Miles is 'One Light Year'
so I can see how far 17 Light Years is?
Thx.

Why are we not sending a human mission to Mars?

Also, why have we not sent an astronaut to live on the Moon? There are large hydrogen deposits, which are most likely frozen water on the moon. So an adequate supply of water is not the problem.

I'm only a high school freshmen, therefore I'm not as knowledgeable as someone on Yahoo Answers is, at least I'm hoping. Am I missing something obvious, prohibiting us from exploring further in the Solar System?

1 ►The universe’s symmetry isn’t spherical, but the universe would be like spinning sphere? If it is so, where is the reference frame for the rotation?

2 ►This symmetry can explain where would be the antimatter? Matter and antimatter would be towards the poles, and there would be an equator empty?

3 ►It is possible that the plane rotation for the E.W. would be related to asymmetric molecules in the space? The panspermia hypothesis [Fred Hoyle] suggest an Universe filled with bacteria (as cosmic dust). This kind of dust can rotate the polarized waves, yes?

I already know that we see only one face of the moon during it's circular movement around the earth, but it would have a rotational movement around itself only when the axis of rotation passes through it .as if I rotate a small ball a round my finger, only one side of the ball is facing my finger while the ball is making circular movement around the finger without any rotational movement around it's own axis.
and if we supposed that the earth has stopped it's revolution around itself, then only one face of it will always face the sun independent of its continuous rotation around the sun.
now,if we supposed the sun as the fixed reference point ,and if the moon is making a one revolution around its own axis within one month, and further if someone on the earth is looking to a point on the moon on the 1st day of the month, then ,after two weeks this point will be on the other side of the moon because it would make a half revolution around itself, while we see only one face!
