did you ever think, or have thought how far can you go until you are stopped..does it just go on and on or does it stop somewhere, makes me wonder how big space really is, is earth a speck of salt and North the world is our universe..whats out there, maybe we should focus our attentions more on space exploration rather than fighting each other down here on earth..

What’s the impact?

It is said that if cooked food, drinking water, milk etc remains exposed to solar/lunar eclipse it should not be consumed. It can be consumed only if a tulsi leaf is kept in it. Does this tulsi leaf can reduce the harmful effect of the eclipse. It is also said that exposure to eclipse for pragnent ladies and their unborn baby is not good .
Is this just a myth or is there any scientific reason for it. Plz help

Could we create a planet on the direct orbital (around the sun) opposite of us, from other matter available in our solar system (meteors, moons, ice, etc)? If we did would it adversely effect the Earth or other major solar system bodies (planets, moons etc) gravitation and orbits? If not, should serious we consider creating one for our future, and the future of other species on this planet?

Ok I was about 8 or 9 years old, right now I'm 19...I went outside early in the moring when the sun was still over the horizon...I was picking up some woods when I saw a blue flash on the ground followed by a loud bang and a ugly crackling sound...when I looked up there was an outline of a planet with the blue light behind it fading away...The sound was loud that it made me twitch hard...the crackling sound was eerie too...I am still wondering what happened that morning...when I ask some friends they tell me that it was something about Jupiter Saving earth from a comet or astroid....So if anyone can tell me or explain to me what it was that I saw...this was like 11 years ago...That light was also between where the sun comes up and when the sun is in the middle of the sky(Noon)....I am still curious about this...It was also around this time of year and I am living in the United States in Arizona....Any answers would be Great...

What i mean is each country(china ,india, egypt, japan etc)has its own method of foretelling like Fengusu, astrology, vastu etc .
are they proved scientificallyand found true?If not is it not waste of energy to study and preach them.No doubt astronomy is well developed in ancient india .it was proved by the correct
prediction of the formation of eclipses, and appearences of comets etc.but i am doubtful how far man can predict the correct relation to the planetary motion and to human lives. If there exists a relation is there any relation with animallife and planets.

I live in Saratoga, CA.
Right now at 8:38PM 3/18/2007, I see this really bright star in the West direction.

I first thought it was a plane because it's incredibly bright, but it's definitely a star. Being bright not be such an incredible thing and I've seen stars just never one like this. (And no, it's not because of some lighting that affects my eyesight.)

Anyone know which star it is and why it's so bright tonight?

Think about it!
The universe/galaxy is freaking HUGE!!!
We haven't even traveled that far, there must be other unknown planets out there.

Maybe there are other humans/ or other living type creatures out there in a different planet. and no im not talking about those ALIENS.

lol
I'm talking about other palent(s)
that might be like us.

Ok. I need to know if it's true that there are more stars in the universe than grains of sand on earth. I don't know what I shoud believe. It doesn't seem possible, but, if you think again the universe is like 50 million times bigger than earth. So can anyone tell me the truth. Please!
