Why are all the planets portrayed as being on the same plane when models are depicted of the solar system? Is this accurate? Do all of the planets revolve around the sun on the same plane and if so why?

The tidal effects that Jupiter has on Io made me wonder if the Sun ever had the same effect on Mercury. Now I understand that the distances are vastly different and there are great differences in the relationships of these bodies so it might be like comparing apples to oranges. Any help is appreciated.

A proton, no matter how insignificant, must have some sort of weight which would reach infinity at the speed of light. Why does it not do this.

This idea occurred to me when I was studying for my exam. Imagine you survived a hellish ride through the Black hole, what will you find on the other side? A new universe? A white hole?...... Just wondering.

1) As far as I know, in the dinosaurs' days, it took 20 hours for one day and night to pass, which means that the Earth is slowing down!!!
2) As the sun burns and releases its potential energy, does it’s gravitational force weaken??

I was watching a show the other day and it claimed the universe had expanded several millions of miles in the fisrt milliseconds of the universe existing. Just simple math tells me that the 'outer' edge of the universe would have to have exceeded the speed of light in order to reach this distance from the original point of expansion.
Now, obviously the show did not address this, but I was wondering how this works in realistic terms.

NASA put a man on the moon in the sixties ...was it ??and they did it using a chemical rocket .
Practically the same thing that kids use in a sky rocket .
The same thing the Chinese used 3000 years ago .
In other areas technology has advanced tremendously , you get a chip in everything from a toilet roll holder to a washing machine but in space flight there has been a dead stop.
Scientists talk about going to the planets and some even talk about going to the stars but we are NEVER going anywhere with a candle stuck up the rear .
I had hoped to see a real space flight before I die
I'm terribly dissapointed .

If so, may we one day no longer see any at all?
Or is there even a chance that one day, new constellations may form due to the stars moving into different "positions" in the night sky?
Incidentally; how fast are the stars moving "apart" from one-another???

At first read, it makes little sense that Jupiter's moon Io should be geologically active. It is just to small and faraway from the Sun. So what causes Io to be so active? What activity has been discovered?
