I don't know but I was just thinking about that recently because someone brought it up. Strange coincidence.

If, as seem to be accepted, the material in question weighs something and has a gravitational effect we can refer to it in more common terms as, Dark Stuff.
Don't fall into the trap of getting complex with your thinking on this, stay simple, it weighs something, so it has mass. Mass creates its own gravitational effects, so it is some kind of, "Stuff". or material or matter.
There is a theory that Black Holes are actually Dark Stars made of Dark Matter, it may or may not be true, but it is a viable alternative to current accepted theories, (which are only theories that fit the Data Set we have), about, Black Holes.

dark matter was discovered in 1933 by fritz zwicky. no one knows what it is, but no more than four percent of dark matter can be ordinary matter. dark matter interacts only thru gravitation. ordinary matter interacts thru gravitation, electromagnetism, strong nuclear, and weak nuclear forces. it can't form anything like atoms or atomic nuclei because atoms require strong nuclear force and electromagnetism to exist, and atomic nuclei require strong nuclear force to exist. the weak nuclear force is responsible for radioactive decay of the nucleus. dark matter can not experience fusion. dark matter can not have a electric charge.

Dark matter is actually anti-matter which does exist. It is very hard to produce, but the sun continuously makes it when fusion and diffusion occur. It is also dangerous, if it touches matter, then both matter and anti-matter cancel each other out litteraly destroying matter.
