that's because in space there isn't any gravity and when there isn't any gravity its very easy to move your arms and legs with minimum effort
and when the astronauts get back to earth their bodies are accustomed to the environment in space so its hard to re-adjust to to conditions on earth

When you do not use your muscles they are lax so that you need to walk again and slowly build up strenght. Also there is not any gravity so there is no pressure making your leg muscles weak.

Because they have been living/working in a zero gravity environment, their leg muscles have not had to support them and have grown weak. They have to re-strengthen them.

Their legs have to readjust to having to carry weight. It's like those days where if you stay in bed long enough when you initially get up you can't walk because your legs need to readjust to the weight.

its like people on bed rest for a long time, if you stop using the muscles, they start to atrophy and deteriorate. floating around means you're not using your leg muscles at all.

yes, they manage to walk with a time period.....it is the envorimental effect on them, Not only the gravity...there are somany factor to consider....
