It takes infinate amounts of energy to travel at the speed of light.

If you are travelling faster than the speed of light however, does it require infinate energy to maintain this speed. Or would it require infinate energy to travel slower than the speed of light.

On a test flight, during landing of the space shuttle, the ship was 325ft above the end of the landing strip. It then came in on a constant angle of 7.5 degrees with the end of the landing strip. How far from the end of the landing strip did it first touch ground?

You've read or heard about certain species of plant, animals, bird, sea creatures, insects, etc. that become extinct. Then we discover a new species of one of the above or a completely different life form we can't explain. This happens shortly after an extinction. What if an intelligent life form another world, takes that life form from earth and replaces it with another, to determine if it will survive and flourish here before they take it to their world? As for humans, we've heard of abductions by UFOs. The people are never heard from again. Some are experimented on (reproductive functions, etc.) and then let go. Some abducted are taken to other planets to populate that planet[s]. After all, us current humans are only 200,000 years old. Where did the first race of humans go? What's your opinion on this question and its details?

Is it possible that the irreversibility of time is related to the continuous expansion of the universe which is translated
into entropy ? How do you feel about creating a computer program simulating an environmental expansion where the environment is digital ? Such model will include digital people/entities which positively interact with each other but also negatively interact with digital pathogens (elements who are constantly bumping into them, multiply and trying to destroy them, and the faster is the expansion, the more aggressive will be this negative interaction between the digital people and these pathogens. The expansion also weakens the internal structure of the digital units and in time, they will be defeated by the pathogens. In such model, philosophical concepts of aging, chances to be involved in an accident and so on, could be presented. The operator will control several parameters of the model, such as: time and speed of the simulative expansion.

I have found several values for the maximum possible total eclipse on the Internet (7mins 31sec, 7min 40sec and 7min 45sec seem the most popular) but none for the maximum possible annular. I need to know that the answers I get are reliable though, so please don't just quote a value you've found elsewhere - I need to know how you have derived your answer! I'm also not interested in the longest values that have occurred throughout history (or will occur in the future) as there are lots of lists of those. What I am after is the duration(s) that would occur if all factors leading to long times were present simultaneously, ignoring the fact that they could not do so in reality. On the other hand the scenarios must be realistic, so such things as orbital tilts and orbital times and distances must be possible, though not necessarily at the same time of course. Don't worry about giving a complex answer as I'm reasonably at home with the concepts of planetary geometry etc. Thanks!

I live in Canada and over the lake Ontario (maybe others from elsewhere could still see it since it was still fairly high in the sky) and I saw this strange, flickering star-like thing in the sky. It wasn't a plane, although at first it seemed so; it had reddish, orangy but mainly white lights flashing. It was stationary, except it would move a little down, up and side to side. This could be a trick of the eye, I don't know.
Could this really be a star? Becuase it's so bright, why don't I see other times? The last time I noticed this, it was sometimes last year.
(I will definitly need to get a telescope...now I'm convinced to get one)
