Everyone is weightless in space.
We float because of the lack of gravity. A persons weight, is basically a measure of gravitational force acting downward on them so no gravity= no weight.
Weight is a persons mass (How much space they take up) , multiplied by the acceleration due to gravity at any point on earth ( the rate at which a falling object increases it's speed as it falls -- 9.8 meters per second) .
If you take away the force of gravity then no matter what the persons mass is, the weight is still zero because any number multiplied by zero is still zero. The person mass in space would still be the same. They would still be bigger, because their mass doesn't change, but yes they would float.

Why do people insist on saying that there is no gravity in space?
Astronauts float because they are falling, they just happen to be moving fast enough sideways while they are falling that they won't ever hit the ground. This is called an orbit. They are in orbit because of GRAVITY. IT is there, in space! It is everywhere.
Also, people wouldn't implode when exposed to a vacuum.
People live under a pretty good amount of pressure from the air around them. Removing that pressure should cause them to explode, not implode, but as it turns out, Humans are structurally sound enough not to come apart in a vacuum.
Instead, All the air would be sucked out of your lungs and you would start to suffer extreme hypoxia, and the blood vessels on the surface of your skin would burst. Essentially, your skin would become a big hickey. Also, after a few seconds you would lose consciousness. You would not be able to hold your breath. If you did, your lungs would burst. Nitrogen may begin to come out of solution in your blood, causing the bends. Depending on whether you were in shade or sunlight (in space) you would either cool off or heat up very rapidly.
You wouldn't notice much of this, because you would be unconcious in a few seconds.
This question is pretty dumb, and I've seen some dummies. A lot of the previous answers have been unintelligent as well. Please don't ask insulting questions.
A better question might be, why do people feel the need to pick on fat people? Is it because they can feel better about themselves by making others feel bad? Yes, that's it.
I personally try to feel better about myself by learning about things like gravity, so that people with small closed minds can get thier answer when they ask small close minded questions.

fat people only do anything if tempted into it by large amounts of food.
if you chuck their dinner out the air lock they will float after it.
when they transit the suns disc some primitive tribes cut off from the modern world interpret this as the end of the world.
here at jodrell bank however we know that its nothing to worry about and eventually the greedy tubby one will deteriorate in orbit and plummet into the suns corona.
in the science world this is known as a sun spot.

Everything in space is weightless. So of course they float. The whole planet is suspended in space

No, if you send a fat person into space (assuming of course you could find a rocket big enough to get them up there) they immediately fall to the bottom of the universe and roll around for a bit until finally coming to rest, a bit like a pea in the bottom of a bucket.

I'm not sure, I've never been there. I assume there's loads of stuff floating up there though, so yeah, why not fat people too....

Any human would just swell to a monstrous proportion and explode unless they're wearing a space suit, in which size makes no difference. I believe it's WATER your thinking of.

NO! Anyone who goes into space (without space suit) will implode and shrivle up. ANYONE who goes into space w/ space suit will float
