What happens to comets when they enter the inner soloar system? If comets are made up mostly of icy material, why do they last so long?

ok..... so a few months ago (in ny) i saw the moon in the middle of the day... im confused cuz i think that the moon should have been on the other side of the world...... am i right??? everyone was making fun of me but nobody gave me an explanation.......so if we are seeing the moon in the middle of the day, then what are the people on the other side of the world.... like in china and australia seeing?? how does this work?

I was told that there is one day during the moon's cycle where the face of the moon appears upside down....The southern highlands are at the top of the moon...Is this true? and if it is...why? Or am I misunderstanding....

I've heard the Hubble telescope is big enough but the moon is to bright and so much light could damage the telescope. But maybe some lunar orbiters photographed Apollo landing sites ?

This would allow them to date events on Mars in an absolute fashion as we do on Earth, rather than in the relative way that they do now (relative to the landing date of each Rover, for example). Some number of Martian 'months' could be set up, with unique names, and some arbitrary day one could be determined (Percival Lowell's birthday perhaps?)
