Its not religion, believing isnt important.
UFO is unidentified flying object, every time you see something flying, but dont know what it is, its a UFO. Thousands of people have seen them. Many people have seen UFO's, then figured out what they actually were, and the objects ceased to be unidentified.
The idea of a transport device from another planet being a UFO is as entertaining as anything else, because once its identified it ceases to be a UFO and, in this case, starts being an alien spaceship.
Modern science has no record of an alien space-ship. Remember science is global, testable, repeatable.
SETI would pay a lot of money for any such proof.
It doesnt exist yet. It might not exist at all.
Although the possibility that there is other life in the universe than what earths solar system contains, probability says it is also a nonzero possibility that the only life in the universe is what earths solar system contains.

Well, your going into some very murky water if you wonder if anyone has ever seen a UFO. Some believe that they have, and will swear to it. Most critics denounce UFO's. But the growing population has become more accepting or UFO's. And what about the people who will swear that they have seen one. Do we just think that they are all delusional or crazy? Something is out there. It would be irresponsible of us as humans to think that we have figured out everything that happens on our planet; to disregard claims because we are too confident.

About ten years ago I was woken up by a loud humming noise and looking out of my bedroom window saw a zeppelin shaped flying object. It was shining lights on the ground and had no visible means of propulsion that I or my girlfriend could see.
We didn`t see any form of cockpit or other signs that it was being flown by anyone.It was visible for about ten minutes and disappeared over the house towards Liverpool.
A lot of other people saw this too and the local paper made mention of it the next week but we never got an explanation from the local government or the bigwigs in London...No one got a picture which was a shame...

Yes but the usa has loads of them all made on this planet but they just don't tell the public about them so that makes them UFO's

yes ,but it was only unidentified the first time,after that they we called them ships or flying suacers,so yes i have seen them and been on them.
