If I have a 1g rocketship (constant acceleration of 1 g all the time) and go tooling around exploring the solar system and then I come back to earth after 1 year, why, under gr, does my clock read slower than my twin brother back home. Haven't we both been experience the acceleration?

I feel really stupid asking this, and I assume I will get some people rolling their eyes at me for posting this, but it's something I never thought about before.

I know why leaves change color in the fall, and I know why they fall from the trees. My question is why different colors. Why do some trees' leaves turn red, others yellow and others orange or brown?

I know I should know this, and again I apologize for asking you to take time to answer such an elementary question, but I'm curious.
