I used l'hopital's rule on this, but the derivatives just keep getting bigger and messier. I asked this question earlier today. No one solved it, but someone reminded me that the definition of e is e= lim (1+1/n)^n as n-->∞.. I don't know if this helps b/c I'm not sure how to get the 5 out from within the exponent.

I have a graphic calculator (TI-83 plus) and just recently, I found out that the sin button doesn't work. You could press it and all, but it doesn't give the correct answer. For example; 1sin(90) should equal to 1, but I get 0.8939966636. I tried reseting the memory, but it still doesn't work. Please help me, I'm going to have a test, and I need it to work!!!

q/12 - (q-2)/4

In other words: q over 12 minus (q-2) over 4

LCD = 12

I got as far as -2q+6 / 12

The answer in the book is -q+3 / 6 - how do I simplify the above to get there?

Thanks!

Ever since I was four I have always lived in what seemed to be haunted houses. I have seen things had things happen to me. I am extremly sensitive to this stuff. I know that there is something there the minute i walk into a room. And its not everywhere. Infact it is very seldom that I feel something somewhere. I dont hate this but it does hinder me every once in a while. Do you think im haunted? Even now, we moved into this house a little over a year ago, nothing seemed wrong with it but the other day i caught an EVP on my camera and I have seen something in my living room at night. I am not scared of this stuff, in fact i love it. I love investigating places. But i feel i am the one being haunted.

I have recently started reading Richard Dawkins' work, and I find his books very thought provoking. I must say that I have always believed in evolution as opposed to religion, even whilst still in primary school. I am, however, incredibly suprised at how many religious people dismiss evolution as some kind of scientific propaganda, despite all the evidence. What are your thoughts on these views? How do you feel about evolution or religion?
