I'm looking at a telescope around $200 that will give me a good view in a suburban area. What do you think of these?

The last of the four. The two Galileos are complete junk; this is one of the worst brands on the market. The Celestron is probably OK optically, but that mount would be a nightmare to use. Which leaves the Orion SkyQuest XT4.5, which is head and shoulders above the rest: larger mirror, better construction, good eyepieces.

My second choice agrees with one of Peter's recommendations:

Don't let the fact that this is advertised for kids put you off; I owned one of these for a while, and it was a great little scope, way better than the Galileos and Celestron. I've tested the equatorial version, which Peter also mentions, but an equatorial mount is overkill on this little scope, and this particular equatorial mount is shaky and hard to use. So my votes are:

#1: Orion SkyQuest XT4.5
#2: Orion StarBlast

I would pick the last one. But that does bust your budget though. One of these would be my choice if I needed to stay under $200.
