I'm more of a spiritual person than religious. I've been wondering lately if there is evidence that guardian angels/spirit guides are really there watching and guiding you the whole time?

I've been questioning it because I've gone through a rough and challenging year - with a family member diagnosed with cancer, a grandma passed away this summer, lost 2 close friends over some silly misuderstanding and a relationship that didnt worked out?

Plastic is made from petroleum, and oil refineries emit cancer-causing Benzene (these 2 we know)... when you heat plastic, particles enter the liquid/food (at acceptable levels, who knows?)... like bottled water, being driven to a store near you in alum. trucks, driving in the hot sunshine, etc. etc. So? what happens when you re-heat your Chinese food, etc? (Thinking aloud here, to see who's got ideas...)

Supposedly we landed on the Moon in 1969, but how did we get there? The space shuttle launch videos show the shuttle going up into the sky, but you would have to dig through the ground to get out of Earth.

Is this the main reason that people don't believe that we landed on the Moon?

Apparently, in the now famous Erin Brockovich story, PG&E told the people of Hinkley, CA that the water they were taking was harmless because the hexavalent chromium turned into chromium 3 in the stomach. I have read about this and it seems that people have all sorts of opinions. So, is this possible, and, if it isn't, why not?

Here is the question...
There are two cars: an old truck and a fairly new car. The truck currently has 16 times as many miles on it as the car had when the truck had 3 times as many miles as the car has now. Between now and then, each vehicle has been driven the exact same number of miles. The truck has not yet been driven 100,000 miles. All mileage amounts are in thousands. How many miles has the car been driven now?

ok my first main question is about the new planet definition, recently the 2006 definition of a planet stated that it was a celestial body that:
is in orbit around the Sun,
has sufficient mass so that it assumes a hydrostatic equilibrium (nearly round) shape, and
has "cleared the neighborhood" around its orbit.
b/c of this and other reasons pluto is no longer considered a planet. I was wondering though why isn't neptune no longer considered a planet due to the fact that pluto's orbit intersects with neptunes stating that neptune has not 'cleared the neighborhood' around its orbit therefore not qualifying all three statements of a planet.

also on an aside note because Pluto's orbit intersects with Neptune's technically Pluto was the 8th planet in the solar system from 1979 to 1999 and Neptune was the ninth, did I just fall asleep in class and missed this? b/c I don't remember teachers telling me this....was that common teaching? or did they just leave that out as to not confuse us.
