just as physicists have determined the half lives of all the elements, can we assume there's is such a thing as a millionth life for each element as well? and would that mean that 500,000 millionth lives is equal to that of one half life? certainly, it would be much easier to measure a millionth life for an element whose half life is on the order of millions of years.

When I worked at an answering service, one lady who worked there said her grandfather had once worked with the Corps of Engineers.

That when they were drilling underneath the ground where Bonneville Dam is now located, the Corps discovered an underground river. She said her grandfather spoke often about this. She said he said the river was found to be wider than the Columbia River and the depth was unknown.

Has anyone any supporting information?

Thanks

Why is it hard for people including me to grasp the concept of a universe that just existed even before Earth was created and before that how did the universe come to be? Did it just happen? It's weird even talking about it but want to know your thoughts.Doesn't this point to some sort of creator?

There is too much ambient light in Richmond, VA for me to get a good view of the sky. I've driven out to Louisa and Hanover in order to find a spot without a lot of extra light, but then the surrounding trees get in the way.

Where is a spot I can drive to (within an hour's drive) that is dark enough and clear of obstructions so that I can view the sky? Also, it must be publicly accessable. (I have no need to get arrested for stargazing!)

So as my teachers and I have discussed mass and energy are very intertwined, and often they cannot be separated. I.E. bullet goes through a wall b/c of its energy, but without the bullet to carry the energy nothing would happen. So, that being said, how does and enzyme reduce the necessary activation energy without losing some of its original mass?

Thanks much.
