at what height will the stream strike the building....how i do look for height?

I think I might have found it.

t = x / [v_0 cos (alpha)]

t = 50 / [40 * (sqrt 3) / 2]

t = 5 / 2sqrt 3 = (5sqrt 3) / 6

t = (5sqrt 3) / 6

I assume your velocity is measured in seconds.

t = (5sqrt 3) / 6 seconds

y_t = -1/2 gt^2 + (v_0 sin (alpha))t

t = time

y_t = (-1/2)(75)(9.8) + (40 * 1/2)(5sqrt 3 / 6)

Try finding that on your own.

What are the units on that 40? km/hr?
