can you show your solution please? I'm stuck on 2 of my homework questions.

41. In an old-fashioned amusement park ride, passengers stand inside a 5.0 m diameter hollow steel cylinder with their backs against the wall. The cylinder begins to rotate about a vertical axis. Then the floor on which the passengers are standing suddenly drops away! If all goes well, the passengers will "stick" to the wall and not slide. Clothing has a static coefficient of friction against steel in the range 0.6 to 1.0 and a kinetic coefficient in the range 0.4 to 0.7. A sign next to the entrance says "No children under 30kg allowed." What is the minimum angular velocity, in rpm, for which the ride is safe?

2. A 500g ball moves in a vertical circle on a 102cm long string. If the speed at the top is 4.0m/s, then the speed at the bottom will be 7.5m/s
a) What is the ball's weight?
b. What is the tension in the string when the ball at the top?
c. Tension in the string when the ball at bottom?

A physics student playing with an air hockey table (a frictionless surface) finds that if she gives the puck a velocity of 3.80 m/s along the length(1.75 m) of the table at one end, the puck has drifted 2.50 cm to the right but still has a velocity component along the length of 3.80m/s. She correctly concludes that the table is not level and correctly calculates its inclination from the above information. What is the angle of inclination?

This one has me baffled - I've been asked to write a balanced chemical equation with state symbols for the reaction of propan-1-ol with sodium.

As the produced sodium propoxide is ionic I assume that it cannot be a liquid at room temperature. Now, when we did this experiment, no solid ppt. was formed so i assume that the propoxide is in solution. But it's not aqueous is it? There was never any water? That rules out (aq)

I will appreciate your help, and I ned someone to explain me how can I attached some graphs to this questions.
Question 1)
a) What is the constant of the spring?
b) From your graph (force vs. distance), does the spring follow Hooke’s law?
c) Do you think that it would always follow Hooke’s law no matter how far you stretched it?
d) Why is the slope of your graph positive, while Hooke’s law has a minus sign?
Question 2)
Compare the work you measured to stretch the spring to 10 cm, 20 cm, and the maximum stretch to the stored potential energy predicted by this experiment. Should they be similar?
Stretch
10 cm 20 cm Max. Stretch
Integral (during pull) (N∙m) 0.0865 0.25 0.752

Okay, so, if a mint decides to replace it's pure silver coin with a sandwich coin that is 1/2 silver and 1/2 copper and the volume of the coin (both the old style and the new) is O.24cm cubed, what is the difference in grams between the old coin and the new one?

Btw, the density of silver is 10.5 g/cm cubed and the density of copper is 9.0 g/cm cubed.

I'm just not sure how to get the density of an object made of two different elements and subsequently get the mass from knowing the density and the given volume.

I just need help understand how to work this problem, I don't need an answer.

Thanks

I thought this could be fun for paranormal enthusiast and skeptic alike. This is a YouTube video that the creator really really REALLY wants people to believe is actual footage of a shadow ghost. His video is quite popular and has tons of comments, all of which are mysteriously uncritical of the video. However, there is at least one dead giveaway it's a fake.

When you view it, view it full screen. Watch for the shadow to appear and to move across the door. Did you spot the visual clue that gives it away?

I have to make a weird "artsy" video for class,

so I'm squirting shampoo/lotion/other crap on top of a piece of stretched-out saran wrap, over the camera .. and then coming up with some lame, "spiritual" meaning for it. :/ ugh.

At the end, I want to scrape it all into a bowl & microwave it.

Will it explode? (if there's nail polish remover/hairspray in it?)

I dont want to set my dorm on fire.

Don't you think that driving 4-7 miles in 3 years a little too little? I mena, of course they are not Bugattis, but 4 miles is just seems like too slow. A reasonable distace would be 50-100 miles. Keep in mind, that's during 3 years!

Why do you think they are that slow?
