Increase. A bigger orbit takes longer to complete, not only because the distance around it is more but because gravity from the Sun is less at the greater distance which requires a slower orbital speed to stay in that orbit.

It would lenghten because the radius of the Earth's orbit would be more, also. B-Man Rockz is right, too; we also probably wouldn't be here answering the question.

then there will possibly no life on it and we wouldn't be here doing this math.....

anyway, it all depends on how much farther you are talking about...??

in general, the length of the year would increase...

the amount of time it took to orbit would increase. But if you also slowed the rotation accordingly, that year *could* still be 365.25 days....

if the velocity of the earth does not change, the year would get longer..
