I've heard on the internet and have seen on tv shows about phenomenon. Occasionally auras will come up, but can someone explain them to me?
Do they really react to a person's emotions with colors and size? Do only people have them, or all living creatures?

This transfer of electrons makes positive and negative charges which makes the ballon stick to the wall.
But usually when there is a transfer of electrons,Ionic compounds are formed. Why is it that some materials do not form ionic compounds and instead attain only the charges that keep them together for some time?

So I was browsing questions and I found this one...
"How can a woman with a lesbian partner become pregnant?
We are seeking for a medical advice on how a woman would become pregnant with a lesbian partner by combining their DNAs. "

Everybody said it wasn't possible, BUT, what if Jane has Lucy's fertilized egg implanted into her body & she carries the egg, kinda like a surrogate mother thing. Would the baby be a blood relative to both? Would the baby have both the mommie's DNA's? I feel like I'm asking "where do babies come from again" LoL.

How does a sparrow KNOW it's shagging another sparrow? Chaffinches & the like are the same size as a sparrow, but they don't go trying it on with them, do they? It can't be through scent, surely - they only have lickle nose-holes.

I'm working at Ball Corp. right doing my 3rd co-op semester with them. I'm planning on doing a 4th next summer and ill be graduating in December 2008. They pay extremely well here and the engineering jobs offer a ton of diversity. I'm in mechanical engineering by the way.

Do i have a good chance at being hired by this company when i graduate since i co-oped here?

I don't want to sound arrogant or judgemental, but this is the physics section, right? Not "fantasy", or "paranormal", or "homework hotline", right? Perhaps there should be a homework help section (if there isn't already), and I know there is an "Alternative" section under Science and Mathematics. Wouldn't questions about photon torpedos and ghosts be more appropriate in that section? Just curious if anyone else who posts here feels this way. I like to come and view posts in the hopes of learning something - not finding out what kind of fabric Captain Kirk's underwear was made of...

I have read following points in a quant book but am not able to understand them. Can anyone help me solving my belowmentioned queries:
1. Median to hypotenuse in Right-angled ∆ is circumradius of ∆. How??
2. Area of ∆ = rXs = abc/4R where s = semi perimeter, R = circumradius & r = inradius...... Can anyone provide me proof of the same.
3. Whether in an isosceles triangle inradius = 1/3 of height??
4. In chapter of trignometry it is stated that Area of ∆ = 1/2 X Product of 2 sides X sine of included angle... As per me it is applicable only in case of Right angle in a Right Angled ∆ & to no other angle.

You all are heartly requested to help me in resolving my queries.
Rgds

I wanted to buy something but i didn't have money.
I borrowed from friend "A " $ 25 and from friend "B" $ 25
I went to the store and bought thing that cost $45
In the store my friend "C" ask me to lend her $3
Now i have $2 left
I give back to my friend "A" $1 and to my friend "B" $1
Now i need to give back $24 to "A" and $24 to "B"

But $24+$24= $48

And + $3 that friend "C" will give me back =

$48+$3= $51

Where $1 dollars come from???????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I heard from a friend that sudden weather change is a very dangerous sign and i was wondering if that is true. Is that what causes earthquakes or global warming? The weather in the Los Angeles area is experiencing problems like these. Todays forcast says 104 degrees and for tommorow it showes major thunderstorms. How is that possible? Is it a sign for something?

We know to calculate the intensity emitted by a black body (total or inside a frequency interval) by Planck's formula. A realization of such is usually a cavity of constant temperature containing almost no matter.

But what do we do if we want to calculate the intensity emitted by matter? F.e. a box of hydrogen at constant temperature and are not fine with a black body approximation?

How could we get at least the intensities of the Hydrogene lines?

Thanks!

I live in Atlanta, within the last few weeks I have noticed an increasing amount of huge bumble bees around my apartment complex. These bees are much larger than your typical bumble bee, and not as "furry", they are just massive, but they just stagger around and appear very lethargic. One day I was opening my trunk and one of them flew from a tree and into my trunk and just sat on my golf bag and didn't move. I thought maybe it was dead so I flicked it off but it just kind of walked around in my trunk. Then today, at the base of my steps leading up to my apartment, I noticed 3 of these bees dead on the ground and one that was just staggering around. I know some of you may be animal lovers, and I am too, I hardly ever kill anything, I don't even like killing ants. But anyway, I stepped on the staggering bee and it made a huge popping sound when I killed it. It sounded like the poppers that you throw on the ground on the 4th of July. I just wondered if anyone might now what's going on.
