Consecutive odd integers have a difference of two.
Represent the lowest odd integer as x.
The next two can be represented as x + 2 and x + 4. When these are added together, the sum is -87.
You can write an equation:
x + (x + 2) + (x + 4) = - 87
Combine like terms:
3x + 2 + 4 = -87
Add 2 and 4:
3x + 6 = -87
Subtract 6 from both sides:
3x = -93
Finally, divide by 3 to obtain the value of x:
x = -31
This is one of the three consecutive odd integers. The next odd integers are x + 2 and x + 4 so:
-31 + 2 = - 29
-31 + 4 = - 27
These are the consecutive odd integers: -27, -29, and -31.
Hope this helps!

Since we have three consecutive odd integers, their common difference must be 2. And we can assume them to be: (a - 2), a, and (a + 2).
Their sum = (a - 2) + a + (a + 2) = - 87 or
3a = - 87 ---> a = - 87/3 = - 29.
So the integers must be (- 29 - 2), - 29 and (- 29 + 2)
i.e. - 31, - 29 and - 27.

Lets say you have an odd integer n. 2 more consecutive integers that are also odd are n+2 and n-2 (because you need to add two to get to the next odd int.)
So
(n-2) + n + (n+2) = -87
3n = -87
n = -29
So then your other two would be n+2 and n-2
-27, -29, -31

Let the 1st integer=x
so we have x+x+2+x+4=-87
or 3x+6=-87
or 3x=-87-6=-93
or x=-93/3=-31
so the nos are -31,-29 & -27 ans

let the smallest integer be x
then the intgers are x, (x+2),(x+4)
Now x+(x+2)+(x+4) = -87
or, x+x+x+2+4 = -87
or, 3x+6 = -87
or, 3x = -87-6
or, 3x = -93
or, x = -31
threfore the intgers are -31, -29, -27
pls check the ans.

(You can leave out the negative sign and put it back in your answer if that makes it easier for you.)
-87=x+(x+2)+(x+4)
-81=3x
