I'm working at Ball Corp. right doing my 3rd co-op semester with them. I'm planning on doing a 4th next summer and ill be graduating in December 2008. They pay extremely well here and the engineering jobs offer a ton of diversity. I'm in mechanical engineering by the way.

Do i have a good chance at being hired by this company when i graduate since i co-oped here?

Based on my experience, no.

In your case, however, there is an excellent chance you will be hired permanently after you graduate. Talk to your supervisor and just ask him outright if he (or any other hiring-level manager will hire you after you graduate).

If you're in your third semester at the same company, you must be doing a good enough job to keep getting asked back. So I'd say you have a pretty good shot at a full time position after you graduate. BUT, a lot depends on the company's financial situation at the time.

Coop hiring and full-time hiring come from two different pools of money. Coop hiring costs the company a lot less because the funds come from a special account and have tax advantages. Talk to your coop supervisor and see if there's anything you can do to increase your chances of a full time position after you graduate.

If they are going to hire any new graduates in 12/08 or 1/09, you will be in a good position to be hired over someone unknown to the company.

It might be a good idea to identify and seek interviews with similar companies, competitors of Ball Corp. or others that would appreciate the value your co-op experience. Similar companies with co-op or intern programs might view you as the next best alternative after their own co-ops or interns.

the undemanding actuality precise it somewhat is there are too many human beings and too few jobs. So standards are extreme and pay is low. do you recognize it takes a commerce degree to be a revenues rep in Gaisano or SM and you'll be able to choose to be 22-35 in actuality with a "eye-catching character" ? Yeah i could have all that for P180 for a ten hour day six days each and each and a week. No ask your self why anbitious human beings precise right here replace into OFW's.

Unless you were a total screw-up you are probably close to the head of their list. It is always easier to justify hiring someone whose performance on the job is a known good quantity.

Then again since you were re-hired twice they probably already approve of your work so you are definitely on the short list. If they have an open requisition for anyone with your set of skills you are probably in.

If it's a co-op and you're getting paid most the time yes. If it's a internship then no because they're just looking for free labor.
