I've come up accross so many books and articles and people as well as movies saying numbers have got power when organized in a specific "wierd" and "mysterious" power ..

People who know little about magic agree with this idea and they say letters and numbers can do these in conjunctions ...

Do you really believe in so ..
I am confused but about to be convienced of this ...

My niece has a BS in economics and can't decide about law school.
She is very kind, a truly lovable human being, but being so smart has cost her any number of relationships with men, because she is so perceptive she can tell she is in some way incompatible with each. This is so depressing. Should she marry knowing it won't work out?
She can't do that. She has too much respect for the institution of marriage and doesnt' want a divorce.
Where are the empathetic brilliant guys in the U.S. who would like to marry?
My niece doesn't know I'm asking, and would be embarrassed, but I can't help myself.
You are supposed to marry someone, if possible, within 5 IQ points of your own IQ.
This is a serious question, please no nasty comments.

How would you add polar coordinates without converting to cartesian and back.

For simplification, I will use the example of a robot. Lets say I drive 50m with an azimuth of 3rad. I then take a sensor reading at 2rad from the robot and it returns a distance of 10m from the robot to an object.

How do I calculate the objects position from the starting point of the robot without first converting into cartesian, adding the (x,y) pair, and then converting back into polar?
