Someone i know likes to drink hot coffee in the hot summer days (temperatues like 40 deg celcuis).....He tells me he does it to keep his body temperature up to equal surroundings because it makes him feel more relaxed and good....I personally think it is a conditioned response due to his drinking coffee so much that he enjoys the feeling and response (like a comfort blanket) but he insists it is scientific....I figure everyone would perfer a cold drink to bring there temperature down because it makes them feel good

Ok, I saw an M&M on the street this morning and thought "What would happen if you fed a captive ant colony chocolate and just chocolate?" Would they survive? Would they thrive? Would they mutate? Would they be able to distinguish between dark and light chocolate? And would they go through chocolate withdrawal when you took it away and gave them real food?

To me it seems like it is a very real possibility. We are here so why is it so far fetched that they may exist? We are continuesly finding new planets as our technology advances and we have even found proof of dried river beds on planets with bacteria(dead) imbeded in the rocks. There are so many different solar systems out there and science is realizing exactly how small of a fraction our solar system is in compairson to the entire universe. So why is their possible existance so criticized and considered "crazy"? Is it just me or does anyone agree? Why or why not??

A vessel is full of a mixture of spirit and water in which there is 17% spirit.

vessel holds 90 litres.

Question :
can we calculate the amount of spirit and water ? how ?

My guess : we said concentration is 17% ..that means in 100 lt water 17 litres spirit and total solution is 100+17=117 litres.

or 17:100 is the spirit and water ratio ...right ?

we know total solution above is 90 litres ,

so spirit is =90*17/117
water is =90*100/117

is this correct ?
