i know nickel (sp?) tin, aluminum, stainless steel, silver, gold, etc. But what are some other types of metals? Thank you!

Take a look at a periodic table, such as the one linked below. All the elements left of the black stair-shaped boundary are metals. Any alloy composed of a mixture of them (such as stainless steel) is also a metal.

There are also man made alloys that are considered metals as well, like steel
