You sample a population of Salmonella typhimurium from a
popular local hamburger joint Howdyburger. You find 8 isolates
(clones) that are resistant to the antibiotics ampicillin and
kanamycin, 27 isolates that are resistant to amipicillin and
kanamycin, and 53 isolates that are susceptible to both
antibiotics. What is the frequency of each of the three types
in the Howdyburger population? What is the genetic
heterozygosity of the Howdyburger population?

I know that the frequencies are 1/11=.09, 27/88=.31, and 53/88=.6. But I don't really know what or how calculate the genetic heterozygosity?

This is the given equation:
the lim as X approaches 0 ( the sqrt of(aX+b) ) minus 2 divided by X is equal to 1

This is a homework assignment I need help with this one. I can do the others well. But on this one I don't know weather to check for continuity or not. I need help with an approach to solving this limit for numbers a and b. Two X's are in this equation one in the numerator (after the a) and the only one in the denominator. Any help is appreciated. Please let me know immediately if you can not understand anything concerning this problem. Thanks.

B) fusion energy- the FINAL solution to the energy problem. will provide humanity with limitless energy forever.

C) intersellar travel - the ability to traverse long distances in a lifetime and thus achieve contact with other life forms and facilitate the spread of humanity thru the universe.

D) the explanation of consciousness - a way by which humanity will take a new direction by transcending current science into a newer "meta-science", a tricky question, one that holds the promise of ending ALL other questions or one that has no answer

Where do I put in a value for horizontally translating this function?

y=10*e^((ln(1/2)/4)*x)

I originally thought i was supposed to put it after the x, as in

2^ (x)to 2 ^ (x - 1), but the graph that resulted from that was way different. Is it because e is in the base?
