If it looks like this http://search2.drugs.com/images/pills/mmx/t103647f.jpg it's a 40mg dose of Furosemide, a diuretic. If not, try running it through the pill identifier I linked in sources [I used the approximate description you gave but you would be able to provide more details].

Round white tablet imprinted GG 201 is 40 mg furosemide(generic)lasix), a diuretic that helps control high blood pressure.
