I think it was very irresponsible from the Board of Education to NOT have cancelled classes today... Drivig it's pretty scary.. you can watch the storm right here:
http://www.intellicast.com/IcastPage/LoadPage.aspx?seg=LocalWeather&loc=kbuf&prodgrp=RadarImagery&product=RadarLoop&prodnav=none

As you can see we'r getting nothing right now.. it's going to get worst..
What do you suggest us to do in this cases?

Thank you.

I'd like to know how much power (Watts) a candle generates. I am interested in the amount of heat generated, so the answer can not be 'one candela'.
I also can't try it by heating water because the power is small and the losses are great - my DIY measurements would be terribly inaccurate.
It also doesn't depend on the size of the wick - let's just assume candleflames are roughly the same size the world over.

I post this in chemistry because I remember it's possible to calculate the energy involved in decomposing paraffine to it's components and recombining them to CO2 and water.

I am looking for a ballpark figure - 1 watt, 10 watts, 100 watts of heat?

Litmus milk tests bacteria for several things: peptonization, catabolism of carbohydrates, lactose fermentation, etc. An uninoculated llitmus milk tube is light purple in color. It will turn pink under acidic conditions, purple under alkaline conditions, and white if reduction of the litmus has occurred.

Is it possible for a bacteria to test positive for both acid production and reduction? Please explain thoroughly, and also note what any results might look like.

I know what the value of e is, however i am doing a math project in which i used excel to find a line of best fit, and the formula had e in it. I need to explain why e is part of this equation/why is it there?

It is about modelling the amount of a drug in the bloodstream:

This is the equation; y = 10e-0.1807x

I heard that e is the natural rate of decay, does that have something to do with it?
