2.4 = 24 / 10 = 12/5
and 1.58 = 158 / 100 = 79/50
thus 2.4*1.58 = 12*79 / 5*50
948 / 250 = 3792 / 1000 = 3.792
what a wierd way, i dont see how fractions have helped here.

1.58*100/100=158/100=79/50.
2.4*10/10=24/10=12/5
