*Isolate "x" .... 2(x+1)-2 > -3(x-2)-36

First: eliminate parenthesis --- distribute the outer term with the terms in parenthesis.....

2(x) + 2(1) - 2 > -3(x) - 3(-2) - 36

2x + 2 - 2 > -3x - (-6) - 36

2x + 2 - 2 > -3x + 6 - 36

2x > -3x - 30

Sec: add "3x" with both sides to combine with "2x" (when you move a term to the opposite side, always use the opposite sign)....

2x + 3x > -3x + 3x - 30

2x + 3x > - 30

5x > - 30

Third: isolate "x" on one side --- divide both terms by "5"....

5x/5 > - 30/5

x > -30/5

x > -6

What value is x? Without the value, this doesn't make any sense.
