I'm interested in setting up an amateur lab at home to view the night sky. Can someone suggest the right telescope (as in company, make, etc) for viewing? I would just like to take this up as a hobby and develop on it as time goes on. Any help is appreciated.

Jan and Rhonda own a home remodeling business. they are putting the finishing touches on a home they restored. working alone, jen can paint one room in 4 hours. rhonda can paint the same room in 5 hours. how long will it take them to paint the room if they work together?

Is the answer x/4 + x/5 = 1; 2.22 hr ? if it is how come there are numbers in the denominator and not in the numerator?

I know this exhibits x-axis, and y-axis symmetry. however, I believe it is not because I have obtained an equivent equation by replacing a postive value with a negative. I believe it is because of obtaining the irrational solution. Is this correct to think along these lines? Am I choosing incorrect values maybe, to test for symmetry?

Lets just say, That the formula for burning fuel (heptane in this case) is,
C7H16+11(O2)>7(CO2)+8(H2O)
Air wieghs 1.2kg per cubic metre
it is 23% O2 by mass
Heptane is 679.5g per litre

It's becoming more and more apparant every day, the impact of global warming. I hear of polar bears drowning because of getting stranded on icebergs and so much more. It breaks my heart and I feel so helpless, I wish there was more that ordinary people like me could do for the enviroment. I have always recycled and never litter, I buy earth friendly products, and even try to not drive as much as possible. I support greenpeace by giving donations, but I feel that this is not enough. I really don't think many people realize how important it is to conserve and really don't care. I see people now are concerned about showing off their luxury items, as if that makes them any better than anyone else, I think it just makes them dumber. I just wish everyone would work together in doing something about the planet and stop worrying about irrelevant things, because when they do realize what's happening it will be too late and then they all will panic.
