I live in south Florida and fish alot. We leave out of Port Everglades and go straight out to the Gulfstream. The water is greenish until we hit the gulfstream,it changes from greenish to dark blue within 2-3 feet. It's not that the gulfstream is deeper because it isn't.

The Mayan calendar says the world will meet with some catastrophic event in 2012. Is the world going to end? With all this terrorist crap going on, this sounds all too probable.

There was a question that told me to:
draw a diagram
state the given
outline my proof
about prooving that a parallelogram is a rhombus ONLY IF the diagonals of it are perpendicular and the question did not say anything else (i think)
So i drew a parallelogram and points ABCD and E as the intersection of the diagonals. but the part im worried about is the "given" part because i wrote down AB is parallel to CD and BC is parallel to DA, and *AB = CD and CD = DA, and also that AE = CE and BE = DE.* Im worried about the fact that i put between the *'s because they aren't directly given in the question but i got them from the fact that the diagram is a parallelogram. My question is whether this is right
btw this is 9th grade high school math

If animals have developed through evolution, then a bug's attraction to light should have some sort of evolutionary advantage. I cannot think of anything advantagous to being attracted to light. Given that today's technology is less than a microsecond of the evolutionary timeline, all the light that would affect the evolution of this attraction would be natural light. The moon (in the sky or reflected off water), a forest fire, the light at the end of a cave, or other luminescent organisms such as fireflies or glow worms. Any Ideas?

We are having a little debate here in the office and we don't have a postage scale to settle it. My buddy says a can of soda weighs 12 ounces "see it says that at the bottom of the can!" he said. Well I say that is LIQUID ounces which are volume and NOT mass. For example if we emptied the soda out and filled the can with liquid paint it would still be 12 liquid ounces but it would weigh more than the can did when it was filled with soda.So the 12 ounces is NOT the weight.
Could someone PLEASE weigh a can of soda and let me know how much it weighs?

If there's a question that gives u a description of a diagram and tell you to prove something, is it ok if i add extra details(like points) to the diagram and give description about those extra details(such as that the line i inserted bisects an angle, etc) in the "given" section? or do i have to write them in the "statement/reason" section and say something like "contruct point A on BE so that it is the midpoint"?
