The Sun is middle aged, I have heard people say that by the time it finishes we will have the technology to travel to another world.
But surely there will be no humans then, we will have evolved into some other life form, but what?

I,ve just pluged in my fibre optic plastic plant which has little lights on it, it stands at 2 feet high, anyway the AC adapter that powers it gets very warm after a while. It says 230-240v on the plug. I noticed that my mothers fibre optic xmas tree has the same plug and it gets quite warm too. Is this dangerous?

We know that diameter of conics is defined as the locus of median points of the conics' parallel chords. For each given chord slope, there's a corresponding diameter.

But I'm confused with Hyperbola's diameter. Since a line would intersect its both branches and thus get 3 line segments. Suppose a line intersects left branch as AB, and intersect between left and right branch as BC, and intersects right branch as CD, then diameter of this hyperbola should be the locus of median points of WHICH line segment???? AB, BC, or CD?

Do I describe my question well?
