What is the best focal spot size for a chest x-ray?

I have a director at work who says to shoot a chest x-ray on a 150 small focal spot. isn't that bad for the tube?

Over 200, which would be a large focal spot. Small focal is used for detail such as a finger or hand. There is no need for a small focal spot for chest.
