stomach acid is HCl. 5. A sample of gastric juice having a volume of 5.00 mL required 11.00 mL of 0.0100 M KOH solution for neutralization in a titration. what was the molar concentration of HCl in this fluid? If we assume a density of 1.00 g mL^-1 for the fluid, what was the percentage by weight of HCl?

I get how to find the molar concentration of HCl but i didn't get the 2nd part of the question about the percentage by weight. i am confused by the 1.00 g mL^-1. does anyone know how to solve it? the answer is supposed to be 0.0803%

The Andes and Rockies are lying on a great circle. The moon pulls the oceans up 5 to 15 ft. as it passes around. The only logical explanation for the crust upheaval of the mt chain is a passby of a body bigger that the moon and smaller than the earth.

I thought that the negative between the parentheses changed the symbol that’s being subtracted to a positive. Wouldn’t this then be 10M + 6M? Then -n + -2n? The answer is 4m-3n can someone please spell it out for me. =)

If we could inject ourselves with single-cell sized robots that could be programmed to do anything, wouldn't that make all medication obsolete? All the theory, and most of the technology is there. It's just a matter of putting in the cash. By the way, this would cure AIDS also. Your thoughts?

I read this on the internet.

The Earth is closest to the Sun (this is called perihelion) around January 2 each year (91.4 million miles = 147.1 million km); it is farthest away from the Sun (this is called aphelion) around July 2 each year (94.8 million miles = 152.6 million km).

so how come it's freezing cold on jan and superhot on july?

When the nanotech age is in full swing about 60 to 100 years from now we will have billions of nanobots inside us (or our great grandkids I guess) which will keep you from aging, and basically do anything you can imagine. Kind of like the liquid thing in Terminator 2. So the question is statistics: how many people die from accidents. Take the average life expentancy today, and divide the percentage of people who die from accidents and homicide. Let's say it's 15%. So the average life expectancy would be about 800 years. Does that math sound about right?
