also if a number is increased 100 times, what happens to the square root.

no doubled the sq.rt. becomes rt2 times the original r
no tripled sq.rt.becomes rt 3 times the original rt.
noincreased 100 times the sq.rt. becomes 10 times the original rt.

If a number is doubled, it's square root gets multiplied by rt. 2

If a number is tripled, it's square root gets multiplied by rt. 3

If a number is multiplied by a 100, its square root gets multiplied by rt. 100, or 10.

sqr(XY) = sqr(X)sqr(Y)

In other words, in the cases you described, the square root of the result of the multiplication would be the square root of the first number multiplied by the square root of whatever you multiply the first number by.

if a number is doubled, then it squareroot increases by a factor of the sqrt2.
Consider this example:
you have a square of sidelength of 1 foot, and a square of sidelength 10 feet. the 2nd area's square will be 100 times larger than the first square's area.
mathematical ==>
sqrt(2x) = {sqrt(2)}{sqrt(x)} ===> sqrt(x) is multiplied by a factor of sqrt(2)
sqrt(3x) = {sqrt(3)}{sqrt(x)} ===> sqrt(x) is multiplied by a factor of sqrt(3)
........
sqrt(100x) = {sqrt(100)}{sqrt(x)} = 10sqrt(x) ===> sqrt(x) is multiplied by a factor of 10.

let us say no. is x
If you make double=2x
so Sqr of 2x=sqr 2x
If triple then 3x
sqr of 3x=sqr 3x
if 100times then 100x
sqr of 100x=10sqr x
