.A fried chicken franchise finds that the demand equation for its new roast chicken product, "Roasted Rooster", is given by
p=48/ q^1.5
where p is the price (in dollars) per quarter-chicken serving and q is the number of quarter-chicken servings that can be sold per hour at this price. Express q as a function of p, and find the elasticity of demand when the price is set at $6 per serving.

Don't you think it should have been a low proberbility that it was able to even sustain it self for a lifetime? Isn’t it an even lesser proberbility that it reproduced itself? Was this achieved after millions of attempts - the sustenance? Did it take billions of attempts to achieve reproduction? Why is reproduction so difficult in fully developed humans in some nations today?

Find the equation of the tangent line to the function:

y = [(1-2x^4)^(1/3)] / (x^2-1)^4

at the point (0,1). [Hint: logarithmic differentiation might help you find dy/dx)

Any ideas?

Three sisters register at a hotel and are told that their rooms will cost $10 each so they pay $30. Later the clerk realizes that he made a mistake and should only have charged them $25. He gives a bellboy $5 to return to them but the bellboy gives himself a $2 tip giving the sisters only $1 each. So the sisters actually spent $27 and the bellboy kept $2 - what happened to the other dollar of the original $30?

Most of you will say that the clerk has $25 dollars, the three sisters each have $1, and the bellboy has $2. but if you look at it trhough the sisters perspective they payed $10 each got back $1 making it $9 dollars each. So they actually paid $27 (because $9 dollars times 3 sisters= $27) but the sisters dont know that the room only cost $25 dollars, but if they paid $27 and the bellboy took $2(making the total $29) what happened to the other dollar????
