I'm from Indonesia and this is what the Indonesian teacher talk to me :

6n - 2(n+2) = n -11

6n -2n - 4 = n - 11

6n -2n -n = -11+ 4

3n = -7

n = -7/3

6n - 2(n + 2) = n - 11
First, clear the parentheses by multiplying through by -2
6n - 2n - 4 = n - 11
Now, subtract 1n from both sides of the equation
6n - 2n - 4 -n = n - 11 - n
Add all the terms containing n together:
3n - 4 = - 11
Add 4 to both sides now:
3n - 4 + 4 = - 11 + 4
3n = - 7
Divide both sides by 3 to get n alone:
3n/3 = -7/3
n = -7/3
