Using this equation: ∆y = vy i t + ½ gt2 (the gt is raised to the 2 power, not times two), what is the time it would take, t, for a ball to fall from the bottom end of the ramp and land into a can that is 10.5 cm tall

vx = .63m
the distance from the ramp to the can is 1.75 m

I have a cable, its black, it fits in the jack on the bottom of my calculator, but it does not match the picture of the "black cable" the TI website shows, in fact it is more like the "gray cable", it is not a USB connection rather a 9pin serial or something along those lines. No matter what I do I can not get my computer to recognize the calculator. What is wrong?

Girls in residential college complain to Maths prof of lack of sleep.

Prof writes down the problem on the board
S L E E P N I G H T. He assigns a digit to each alphabet.

hE ASKS EACH GIRL STUDENT TO CHOOSE ANY 3 CONSECUTIVE NUMBERS (E.G 012, 345 ETC) AND REPEAT THE 3 DIGIT No. when in bed.
Next day he asks them to reverse the No chosen on day one and repeat the new number.
day 3 he asks them to subtract day 1 No from Day 2. 9ignore -ve sign) and repeat the new number in bed.
day 4 he asks them to reverse the day 3 No and repeat this number in bed.
Day 5 he asks the students to add day 4 and day 5 number and repeat this number in bed.
Day 6 he asks the class and enquires if the sleep problem solved. All the 40 girls reply negative.
Prof says the problem is compounded. So multiply the day five number by 40 and replace the digits by alphabets written on board, e.g 0 is S, 1 is L so on and so forth.
