A block of mass m = 2.02 kg slides down a 30.8 ° incline which is h = 3.46 m high. At the bottom, it strikes a block of mass M = 6.90 kg which is at rest on a horizontal surface (Assume a smooth transition at the bottom of the incline.)
If the collision is perfectly elastic, and friction can be ignored, what is the speed of the smaller block and larger block after the collision?

Determine how far back up the incline the smaller mass will go.

How would you work through this problem? Please Help!

For this project it is required that the roller coaster has 2 full loops and also 2 hills. It cannot take up an area of greater then 75 cm x 75cm x 100 cm high. I could use some suggestions as to what material i should use as the track. ( It needs to be flexible enough to form the loops and hills.) Thanks for your help!!

Theoretical Question about water flow. Say I have 3/4 inch water lines in my house. I want to connect a new faucet 15 feet away from these lines. The faucet uses 1/2 inch lines. Does it matter where along that 15 feet that the transition from 3/4 inch to 1/2 inch is made? Will the amount of water output at the faucet change depending on where the transition is made?
