Would it make any difference (in effect, on the earth somehow) if you were able to submerge a nuclear bomb in a volcano and detonate it? Could a bomb even survive being submerged in magma? Could you create seismic activity? What if you dropped one in a fault line? Has anyone ever studied this or tried it?

How high of a tower would have to be built to enable someone to have line-of-sight across Lake Huron from White Rock, Michigan to Canada (approximately in the area of Goderich)? According to MSN Maps, this is a distance of approximately 45 miles, or so.

Is there a formula or some calculation to approximate this, given the curvature of the earth?

First if you have a Bible read Genesis 11:1-9. Then reverse the order of numbers to get 9-1-1-1. Or we could say 9/11/01. What is the chance that this is just random chance? What is the chance that it's intelligent design? I need intelligent answers not sarcasm.

I suppose this is a material science question - does anyone know if Q345E-Z25 is equivalent to the ASTM spec S355J2G3-Z25. Alternatively, can anyone suggest where to find an English languange version of the Q345E-Z25 spec so I can compare the two myself?

Thanks!

A rich merchant had collected many gold coins. He did not want anybody to know about them. One day, his wife asked, "How many gold coins do we have?"

After pausing a moment, he replied, "Well! If I divide the coins into two unequal numbers, then 73 times the difference between the two numbers equals the difference between the squares of the two numbers."

The wife looked puzzled. Can you help the merchant's wife by finding out how many gold coins they have?
