Yes. I am going to go out on a limb and say that there are more Argentine ants in Los Angeles County, California, than there are people in the world.

There are billions and billions of ants at any given period. It has increased even more since ants have crossed continents. There are several thousand ants probably living on your front lawn right now.

There are probably more ants in your back yard than there are people on the earth. The insect biomass is greater than any other living group and composes most of the earth's total biomass.
