I know arctan (-1) = 3pi/4 but does it also equal 7pi/4? My book only lists 3pi/4 as an answer...
When you write 3pi/4 as the answer, is 7pi/4 implied? Or am I wrong and arctan (-1) is not equal to 7pi/4? Please explain.
Thanks

I was wondering if the wood base would crack or wear away over time, because I was thinking of purchasing one, and was stuck between the more expensive but durable? ones, and the less expensive wood-base ones.

Thermus thermophilus is a bacteria which is able to survive under very unfavoured discription, e.g. hot temperature and deep pressure. It is believed it can do so because of its ability to replenish cells. However, can anyone provide any details on when and who discovered this bacteria, and if any possible side effects it will have on humans if they use it too extensively?

A 50.0 g projectile moves to the right with a speed of 2.00 m/s toward a 0.500 kg stationary and uniform 50.0 cm long thin rod pivoted at its center of mass wich is free to rotate about this frictionless pivot ( in the center). What is the linear speed of the ends of the rod if the projectile undergoes a totally inelastic collision with the very end of the rod? The rod is mounted horizantally and you may ignore any effects due to gravity.

Its for a chemistry project, I need help, my teacher hasnt been in class for the last week, so I have absolutely no idea what "mol" is.

Here are the exact steps:
1. Cut out 3 nutrition facts labels from three different foods. One should be high in sodium compared to the others.
2. Look for the total grams of "Sodium" per serving.
3. Using dimensional analysis, show haow many moles and atoms of sodium you are eating for one serving.
4. How many servings of food would you have to eat in order to reach the maximum daily recommended amount of sodium.

Ive got the three labels, they are:

1. Frozen Waffles - 480mg of sodium - 20% daily value 2.Gatorade - 110mg of sodium - 5% daily value
3.Juice - 35mg of sodium - 1% daily value.
